Frank wants solar panels on our rooftops rather than huge solar farms on our green spaces but the withdrawal of Government funding means this is unlikely. While he successfully campaigned against a solar farm in Shirland he believes each proposal must be considered individually. Frank questioned the Langer Lane developers about the implications for nature and wildlife habitats, noise pollution, employment opportunities and the impact of CCTV and high fencing. It seems, at the moment, the proposals for the site in Wingerworth are better than for Shirland, but he will wait to see the full plans before making a decision.
