My fellow local campaigner, Nicola Peltell, is frustrated with the lack of action to tackle parking at both of Wingerworth’s Primaries.
“It is so unsafe for pedestrians and other car drivers – it’s an accident waiting to happen!” said Nicola.
Whilst the situation gets temporarily better when police visit, the lack of long term solution – especially given the proposed classroom extension – means that only days later chaos resumes.
Nicola expressed her concern that “an accident shouldn’t have to happen before something gets done”.
Nicola is keen to see an increase in walking and cycling to school with greater anti-idling measures introduced, and has begun looking for a way forward.
