On 5th June, a fire broke at the Avenue Nature Reserve. The decking which surrounds one of the ponds was completely destroyed, impacting access to visitors but also local wildlife habitats. A full polics investigation is underway and a crowdfunding page has been created in order to aid the restoration and support the volunteers who worked so hard to make this nature reserve a reality.
