Frank Adlington-Stringer Joins Wingerworth Parish Council

Local Green party campaigner selected to fill Council vacancy

We are excited to announce that local green party campaigner, Frank Adlington-Stringer, has been successfully selected to fill the Hardwick Wood vacancy on the Wingerworth Parish Council. Frank passes on his best wishes to Diana Ruff whom he replaces on the council. Frank becomes the youngest member of the council at age 22 and will fulfil his duties alongside completing the final year of his degree at Nottingham Trent University.

Frank is delighted to have the opportunity to serve the people of his village and is dedicated to working with the community, for the benefit of the entire parish. As a young person, Frank is keen to engage the young people of the parish and build greater cohesion.

”I am honoured to have the opportunity to help achieve tangible results for our community. Together,

we will improve our parish for us all” - Frank

In his new role Frank has already got stuck in. He is working with a local resident to improve cycling infastructure and with others in his ward, Hardwick Wood, whom are having issues with access to their private woodland. Alongside this work, Frank has taken roles working with both the Climate Change Working Group and Premises and Facilities Committee. Frank has put together a plan to see new tree planting on the three main parks in the village, Greenway, Chartwell and Deer Park.

Frank is making it a priority of his to be in contact regularly with the community via this newsletter and endeavours to bring crucial updates to you all. Please do contact Frank with any issues.

The limitations imposed by Covid-19 mean we are unable to currently hold public meetings. Frank is keen to develop an online based interaction between himself and the community. Any updates will be posted online and in future Green View newsletters. Until then residents wishing to engage with the entire council, can join Parish Council meetings via zoom.
