Thank you for voting Green at the Council elections on 5th May and making Frank Adlington-Stringer our first ever Green Party Councillor. We were thrilled to see the Green vote share increase by such a vast margin and for our community to gain the representation it deserves!
Newly elected Councillor Frank said, “Thank you! This is a wonderful opportunity and a fresh start for Wingerworth. I am committed to making much needed improvements to our community and focusing on your priorities. It won't be easy but, as we have shown in this election, hard work and commitment can achieve almost anything!”
Frank won the election by a landslide – a clear message from the people of Wingerworth that hard work matters! As predicted, this election was neck and neck between the Greens and Conservatives; Lesley Whetton and David Kesteven came so close to joining Frank on the Council but fell short by around 100 votes.
